Where and How?
Our English Yoga Teacher Trainings take place in our home base in Vienna, specifically in our Matsya Studio located in Florianigasse 16, 1080 Wien.
The 200-hour Kundalini Yoga teacher training is typically done in an intensive 4-week course. However, for people living in Vienna, an individual schedule can be adapted so that the training can be completed throughout the year. For people who join the training at any time during the year, all courses and classes can be visited during their training period.
Individual Schedule
The individual scheduling option allows for a flexible start time. We offer our 200-hour yoga teacher training to accommodate everyone, whether they are working or tied up with family commitments. We offer many training modules throughout the year, which can be done either intensively over 25 days or continuously throughout the year. Students have the opportunity to come whenever they can until all necessary hours and subjects have been completed. This way, the training adapts to the needs of our participants without sacrificing quality.
Each of us has their own tasks, children or profession, and we are happy to pick you up exactly where you need it.
Training fee and Certification
The training fee is 2700 Euros, with or without accommodation in our Studio. ONLINE or ON SITE. Whether or not accommodation is available depends on the current booking conditions.
We strive to provide the same quality and depth in our ONLINE courses as we do in person. You can start a training online and, if you wish join on-site sessions too. A combination of online and on-site participation is also possible.
The course fees for both online and on-site trainings are identical.
Upon completion of the training, you will be certified as a YOGA ALLIANCE 200h-RYT®.
Quality for you
At our yoga teacher training, we place great importance on delivering the highest quality content and experience to our students. We believe that yoga is all about growth and creating a better world, which is why we strive to provide you with the best possible training.
History, Philosophy and Practice
Our program is built upon a strong foundation of deep yoga practice, but unlike other trainings, we also delve into the philosophical and spiritual roots of yoga. During the training, we will explore the traditional texts of Yoga, the root tantras of Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga, and the radiant heart that resides within them. We are thrilled to share these ancient secrets with you.
This training follows the long tradition of yoga going back to Satyananda and the tantric lineage of Laksmanjoo. We incorporate the beauty and power of Hatha Yoga, as well as the energy and passion of Kundalini. Ultimately, the essence of this teaching is simply your own heart - your most important teacher.
Our program is designed to be internationally oriented, and all course materials and instruction will be delivered in English to allow people from all around the world to connect and learn together.
We offer our 200-hour yoga teacher training in a way that allows anyone, whether they are working or have family commitments, to participate. Structure of the 200h Training:
The training is divided into four modules, each of which lasts for one week, from Monday to Friday. Each module concludes with a self-reflection test.
Module 1 - History and Philosophy of Kundalini & Hatha Yoga:
In the first module, we explore the foundation of yoga philosophy by delving into the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Bhagavad Gita, and the Ishavasya Upanishad.
We aim to answer the question, "What is yoga?" and contemplate what yoga means to us in modern times.
We also examine how Hatha Yoga has evolved from the ancient tantra of Kundalini Yoga and explore significant spiritual and historical milestones.
Module 2 - Yogic Anatomy, Chakras, Koshas, Prana, and Western Anatomy:
The second module uncovers the inner world of yoga, a world of vision and magic. We journey to the Tantras and read the Sat Chakra Nirupana, and learn exercises to access our inner worlds.
We discover sound as the goddess, the states of individual perception, and prana as the river of life, as well as exploring Western anatomy.
Module 3 - Class Design, Didactics, Asana, and Kriya:
The third module focuses on the art of teaching yoga, class design, and the didactics that enhance teaching. We learn how to create a natural flow in our classes and how to develop our talents in the expression of yoga.
We also study the Pavanmuktasana, Sukshma Vyayam, important 42 asanas, and kriyas.
Module 4 - Bandha, Mudra, Pranayama, and Meditation:
In the fourth module, we explore the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Goraksha Shataka, two texts that deal with Kundalini Yoga and basic techniques such as bandha, mudra, and breathing techniques.
We also explore meditation and the Vjnana Bhairava Tantra in this context.
