Introduction to Pranayama

This material was originally intended to be exclusively for the teacher training course, but I thought that it is hardly possible to do the following kriyas well if one does not know the basics about the pranayamas mentioned. Therefore this Chapter is presented here.


Muladhara Kundalini Yoga Chakra

Muladhara Kriya

The action for strengthening the muladhara. Muladhara is the golden fire of your presence, it is your will be to, the very basic strength and vitality. Perform alongside easy breathing pauses between the exercises.

svadhistana Kundalini Yoga Chakra

Svadhisthana Kriya

Svadhistana is vitality, movement, emotion and love. The more these waters are moved the stronger the spiritual endeavor. It will give live and remove energy blockages.

manipura Kundalini Yoga Chakra

Manipura Kriya

This Kriya is for the strength of the center. All power radiates from there, From there you determine the way. It is the vital breath that can hold the point. It is purifying and cleanses every pore of your body.

unstruck sound Kundalini Yoga Chakra

Anahata Kriya

Anahata is the unstruck sound, the eternal flame. It is the place one should celebrate. It is home. It is reason. It is the reason to live. It is you. Celebrate this place.

Vishuddha Kriya

Visuddha is spaciousness. It is like the top of the mountain here all is surrounded by the sky. Be sky is pure and wide, just like a crystal made from of light. It is superiority. Freedom. Feel this clarity and expand.

Ajna Kundalini Yoga Chakra

Ajna Kriya

Ajna is the command. It is not only the place from which one commands one’s own being, but more the place from where one receives the command of the supreme. This command is your purpose of being. Meditative contemplation about your true mission of being is therefore the greatest Kriya of the command (ajna).



Simple & True Mediations

These meditations are all creative contemplations, bhavana. They emphasize openness. They are suddha vikalpa, a pure thought. They are a modification of mind but yet they lead to the true self. Behind the image is the true reality, the one state of being.


apana Prana Kriya

Pancha Prana - Apana

The action for Apana Prana. This is the internal movement of consciousness. It strengthens the reproductive system of the body and helps the flow of digestion. It will further increase the body’s regenerative power and overall comfort.


Approximately 20 minutes.


maha Prana Kriya

Pancha Prana - Maha

The action for Maha prana. This is the external movement of consciousness. This is the will to live. It strengthens the heart and increases openness. It will open your breathing and free your spirit.


Approximately 20 minutes.


Samana Prana Kriya

Pancha Prana - Samana

The action for Samana Prana. The action for the centered energy of consciousness. It shows the middle, this is the place from where you can rise. When you can hold the center, you can be where you need to be.

Vyana Prana Kriya

Pancha Prana - Vyana

The action for Vyana prana. This is the pervasive movement of consciousness. You are, yet you are not. Pervasive like time you can expand. Your true form is embracing all creation. You are the promise of freedom.

Udana Prana Kriya

Pancha Prana - Udana

The action for Udana Prana. Action for the upward moving energy of consciousness. In essence this is just joy. You are the row of heroes. The upward pointing spear. Empowered     by fire, you pierce the sky. Show all your greatness.

Yogic Suksma Vyayama

Brahmachari - Sukshma Vyayama 

Dhirendra Brahmacharis Sukshma Vyayama-

Pavanmuktasana I

The way that this pavanamuktasana is presented here is different than originally taught by Satyananda. Here they are rendered as they are taught in our Kundalini Yoga tradition. This anti–rheumatic series is far more than a series against joint pain. It is a very energetic series that can break energy blockages and stimulate the spinal fluid. It can also expand consciousness and has strong healing properties for the mind and body


Swami Vidyanand Sadhana

This sadhana was given to connect to the energy of divine mother, it is gentle and loving. It must be performed with devotion, then it will cover you with the warm hand of your ever expanded being. It will calm you, accelerate your healing processes and balance the mind. 



Pandey ji Prana Series

Everything starts with the belly, when the diaphragm is open the energy from the lower centers can rise to the heart. This is the transformation from the lower triangle to the higher. If the diaphragm is closed there can be no success in yoga This is an easy but yet very advanced  exercise. It will give you the power to shine and make you rise effortlessly..


Approximately 60 minutes.



A Tantric Opening

This opening, that can be practiced at the beginning of each class, is a dance with sound. It is worshiping the Goddess as the energy of the six chakras and moving them through your being. It was passed down to me by my friend and teacher 
Rainer Neyer from the lineage of Dhirendra Brahmacari.
